This project is called Mother Angioletta Hosts, Candles and Wine Social Enterprise and is a mission-driven initiative that combines faith-based production with social and economic empowerment. The Enterprise produces liturgical hosts, candles, and sacramental wine to serve churches and religious institutions while creating dignify employment and sustainable livelihood for vulnerable women and community members. By operating as a social enterprise, we ensure that commercial activity directly support social transformation.

The problems we aim to address are economic exclusion and unemployment particularly among women and marginalize individuals who face limited access to stable income, skills training, and dignified work.  Many families struggle with poverty due to lack of employment opportunities, especially in faith-based or community-centered settings.  Mother Angioletta responds by providing safe, values-driven employment and skills development within a supportive environment. As secondary problems it addresses limited access to affordable, locally produce liturgical supply for churches. Many Churches depend on imported or costly hosts, candles and sacramental wine, which can be expensive, inconsistent in supply due long distance, disconnected from community support.

In order to solve this problem, the enterprise

  • Creates dignified employment by engaging sisters and even lay faithful in the production of hosts, candles and wine
  • Provides skills and income through hands-on production, quality control and enterprise experience
  • Generates sustainable revenue from product sales rather relying solely on donations.
  • Support Christians communities by supplying affordable, high-quality liturgical items
  • Reinvest profit into wages, training and expansion of social impact

The main financial highlights

  1. Revenue Source: Sale of hosts, candles, and wine to religious institutions/parishes
  2. Sustainability model: operational costs are covered through sales, reduce alliance on external donations.
  3. Profit reinvestment: surplus income is reinvested into wages, training, equipment and increase production capacity.
  4. Growth potentials: rising demand from churches provides opportunities for scales and long-term financial stability
